If you haven't got a clue what account planning is then click here to find out.

If you're from outside the UK then Welcome! A lot of the material may still be useful to you. I am considering becoming an associate for Amazon.com so stateside planners can start to built up their own drinks fund. The idea is that the 15% commission on every book sold becomes a pot that gets spent. I guess the best way would be to arrange a drinks convenor at the annual USAPG conference and you could drink it then. Let me know if you're interested!

If you're a planning director you'll be on the lookout for planners to hire - there are never enough- and freelance planners.

If you want to find a planner then why don't you ask for one by posting a vacancy on the Post room community area site?  If you want to be discreet then contact me and I can give you an email address linked to this site to hide your identity.

By the end of the summer I hope to have a directory live and kicking so planners find it a lot easier to track YOU down. So I am working on making it a lot easier to put planners and planning directors together.

If you want freelancers then go and look at the People page for the resources I have assembled for you so far. We have over two centuries of planning experience available in the freelances listed!  Most of them are ex planning directors.

If you want headhunters or short term staff then again go and look at the People page. Go on why don't you?!

If you're a planner you'll be on the lookout for resources and ideas.  There's a PLANNING CRAFT AREA that should get you thinking.  Planning used to be exclusively about advertising.  There's a lot more to account planning than advertising and this area aims to open all of that up.

There's a bookshop linked to  Amazon UK  with one of the largest selections of books of interest to planners you'll find anywhere. I've read most of them - so you'll find my reviews there. FREE DRINKS! The commission earned on books sold via this site will go behind a bar in Soho twice a year and you'll be very welcome to come and drink it until the tab's gone!

And there are pages of links and quotations, an INTERNET RESEARCH GUIDE to finding research agencies offering internet specific products - the MRS directory isn't a lot of help on this at the moment.

If you're looking for a job well I hope to persuade planning directors to advertise vacancies in the community area. Click here to check if I have succeeded!

If you want a reminder every month or so as to what has changed on this site then you can sign up for a regular email newsletter that will remind you to keep coming back and let you know about events and offers. Click here to sign up for the newsletter.

If you're a freelance planner  you'll be on the lookout for work.  I'll be adding a database of the planning directors of the top communications agencies in the UK as soon as I have compiled it. If you want a reminder every month or so of what has changed on the site you can sign up for a newsletter that will tell you what has been added to the site and bring you up to date on events and offers.  Click here to make sure you get the  newsletter.

To quote the Cluetrain Manifesto: "Markets are conversations".

So let's talk.
